Character Background & Origin

Very little is known about Princess Taryn's past, but gradually, people are finding more and more information about the royal red panda. Check back often to see what others have managed to find out!

Taryn is the second-born child of the Emperor and Empress of the Zouryx Empire. Apparently, Taryn's father was the Grand Duke of Zour (a province within Adelheid) before marrying the Queen of Adelheid (the country itself). Since Adelheid boasts a matriarchal monarchy, the Empress is the one who currently resides upon the throne, and only females may be eligible to rule. This puts Taryn's elder sister, Alena, in line for the throne as Crown Princess.

As a result, Taryn would never be able to one day inherit the throne. Not wanting her son's potential to be held back due to unbreakable tradition and law, the Empress -- who also happened to be a High Priestess -- made a desperate plea to the Goddess to grant her a single, selfish wish: to which the Goddess replied. Taryn was blessed by the Goddess herself soon after birth, receiving a gift that would easily allow him to one day ascend to rule, but the exact gift itself, and its cost, would only be made known in time...

Taryn was then brought up as a female -- a male princess. His mother took the majority of the burden upon her shoulders, although his father played an important role, encouraging the princess to take up dancing and courtship lessons to one day woo a suitor.

*~ Please don't take offense if Taryn shies away from receiving a kiss on the lips. This act is incredibly precious to him, and he only kisses those who hold a special place in his li'l wah heart. :3 Don't be surprised if his mood goes sour if he sees someone close to him kissing others on the lips casually -- he just feels that kissing is rather intimate, and should only be shared by a select few.

*~ Taryn's first-ever litter was born on June 28th, 2011 the children of Levin, as well as for a few close friends: Kanis, Clooney, and Reiske. Amongst the massive litter, for Levin, were evenly-hybrid, fox-wah kits (three male, one female) and two draco-wah young (both female). Kanis' son with Taryn, named "Nalin", is quite prominently wolf, although his tail somewhat resembles the shape and fur patterning of a red panda. Clooney and Taryn's daughter is a beautiful bhorchlean girl, with emerald eyes and the ears of a red panda, named "Cosette" by her father. Reiske's litter is a set of quintuplets, all males, with seemingly no trace of red panda within the colts' visible traits other than shade of coat. There are five.

Physical Appearance

Taryn has the coloring of a normal red panda.

Taryn is a (eternally?) 17-year-old red panda. At 4'6" and 86 lbs., he is a excellent definition of the term "twink", although in his family, that simply makes him the runt. He has a rather effeminate, lithe build, although his muscles are toned due to his dancing profession -- but he is not overly muscular. He has blonde, long, wavy hair which he tend to style elegantly. He has amethyst eyes, and his fur coloring pattern is the same as a typical red panda, boasting the long, exceptionally fluffy tail that the species is so famous for. The only exception is a small, white patch of fur on his right rump cheek, which is shaped curiously like a heart. Taryn's nose and paw pads are a light pink color. His uncut pandahood is fairly large for being such a small-built red panda: it is about eight inches in length when hard.

Clothing and Accessories

Typical Attire: Since he was brought up as a princess, Taryn naturally has an affinity for cross-dressing and dressing quite elegantly. His outfits vary from the skimpy (tube-top mid-drift shirt and a short skirt), to the more elaborate (Princess gowns and expensive-looking jewelry).

Taryn is a huge fan of anything bright and tacky. Nearly everything he wears is brightly colored and vivid, and is usually on the more skimpy side. He loves to wear form-fitting clothing that shows off his body, especially mid-drift shirts that expose his tummy. Taryn likes to wear his pants as low as possible in order to give sneak peeks at his underwear, which are usually thongs or bikini briefs. As for pants, he usually wears Hawaiian hibiscus flower-studded board shorts, raver-style parachute pants, tight-fitting bell bottom jeans... or skirts.

His navel is pierced, and he loves wearing sparkly, fancy jewelry. Also, both of his ears are pierced, which he usually decorates with silver or purple hoops or studs; his right cartilage is also pierced twice, one on top of the other, which are almost always silver hoops. His wrists are often adorned with many multicolored bracelets.

Bathhouse Attire: Taryn typically wears a small, mid-drift tank top, usually a rather bright color, sometimes with a white hibiscus flower pattern. On his hips he wears form-fitting booty-shorts, his thong straps clearly visible over the waist band. These vary from being denim, such as blue jean cut-offs, to a wide variety of different fabrics and styles. He tends to pad around bare-pawed. Keep in mind that this isn't what he always wears, but usually, he is wearing something similar to this while in the bathhouse... or just his underwear or a speedo.

Battle Attire: Taryn often wears rather revealing garments with celestial motifs, to provide him with easier movement, since he relies so heavily on evading potential attacks. They tend to be elaborately bejeweled, and flowing ribbons tend to be a recurring theme. Very proud of his talents in aeromancy, holy magic, and dancing, he often does his best to combine all three in his outfits, which is rather apparent in his most common color scheme of white and gold. Taryn wields a legendary weapon known as the Seraphim Wish, which is a long, pink ribbon woven of an expensive material that is wrapped across the upper back and around both arms in a spiral pattern, the excess fabric extending from the wrists to the floor. The ribbon is weighed down with golden, elaborately bejeweled chakrams that are tied to both ends. It is said that the Seraphim Wish has been passed down from generation to generation within the most famous lineages of gypsy bloodlines and can only be wielded by the most talented of battle-dancers.

Personality

Taryn is an extremely outgoing, energetic, and optimistic red panda. Although his honest heart is generally seen as a good thing, it makes it difficult for him to lie or say "no", and he sometimes trusts people too easily. He tends to be rather gullible, slightly naive, and has a cute, child-like attitude which only helps to enforce the idea that he is much younger than he really is. Regardless of that, Taryn is strong-willed, yet indecisive, and tends to be completely submissive and a bit shy when it comes to relationships. He loves to play like a kid and have childish fun.

Abilities

Taryn is an exceptionally talented dancer, having several different styles mastered. Combining with his gifts of aeromancy, passed down from his father's bloodline, the red panda has developed into the first of what scholars are calling an "aerodancer". He also is gifted with holy and healing magic, which explains his deep connection with spirituality, but he is not nearly as proficient in this art as he is in the magic of wind.

When in battle, Taryn primarily takes on a supportive role, relying on his dancing skills for evasion while calling upon his magical abilities to heal and assist his allies.

From Clooney ~ 1) A thin, silver ring, hinged on one side with intricate, yet subtle knot-work over it's surface. The Celtic designs have great personal meaning to Clooney, representing his family heritage. Taryn wears the ring firmly around his tailbase, as a symbol of their close friendship. Taryn never takes the band off. 2) A dark, forest green leather collar with a small silver tag. The tag has no name carved into it, just a simple three-leaf shamrock over a Celtic spiral. Taryn no longer wears the collar, but he holds onto it as a keepsake, as a symbol of their previous Master-Pet relationship.

From Megido ~ 1) A thin, black-leather collar with a fasten is kept at the back of his neck, so that the silver bull-head emblem on the collar is centrifugal to the front. The emblem has a silver ring going through the bull's nose, useful for fastening leashes. The collar is a symbol of servitude given to Megido, who had previously taken Taryn as his pet, and slave. 2) A tag made of shiny, polished metal with the words, "Daddy's Boi", inscribed on it. Along with it was a pair of smooth handcuffs with the words, "Daddy's", and "Bitch" inscribed on the left and right cuff respectively.

From An-Yan ~ A shimmering pendant that has a strange emerald engraving etched into the metal. The engraving appears to be similar to an alchemy pentagram, but rotated slightly, containing two crescent moons in the middle. Supposedly, this pendant activates a hidden power within the wearer during certain circumstances...

From Murphy ~ Murphy has given two collars to Taryn, as a symbol of ownership. A simple black leather dog-collar, dull silver spike-studs running around its center... and a thin, simple black leather collar, with contrasting orange stitching, to wear as his primary collar. Also, a silver, circular dog tag. On one side, it is engraved with "Taryn", and on the other, it reads "Property of: Murphy". The tag has a clip at its top, for Taryn to remove and attach it to any number of collars he should end up wearing under his master's desire.

From Tay ~ A beautiful golden necklace of the finest quality to wear about his neck, as well as a single gryphon feather. The gifts are to help keep Taryn from feeling lonely.

From Ken ~ A short, black gothic lolita outfit, with frilly skirt, though it has a slight "raver" flare, complete with dangling little chains and charms to accent.

From Bola ~ A pair of white-and-blue, snowflake-shaped chakrams, bejeweled and dazzling.

From Kanis ~ A gleaming, yellow collar, adorned with a pair of small wings meeting at the tag, which simply reads "Taryn". Taryn wears the collar as a token of his servitude toward the wolf, who took him as a pet on December 7th, 2010. After a few months of separation, Kanis has once again taken claim to the red panda princess.

From Zala ~ A twin pair of chakrams made out of gold, along with a miniature chakram upon a golden chain to be worn as a necklace. The matching set of bladed weaponry seems to be encrusted with expensive-looking pink rubies.

From Linnaeus ~ A deep, rich purple collar made of rubber that is set with silver D-rings at three points. A silver metal band runs around its circumference, and the whole is perhaps an inch and a half wide and a full half-inch thick. A simple silver tag dangles from the D-ring at Taryn's throat, the tag's writing is black etched and easily readable: "This Slut Property of Linnaeus."
