Agent Vexrile "Trickster" Hyena

History
Vexrile is not your typical anthropomorphic hyena. His parents were a pair of breeding spotted hyenas from Africa that were transferred to an Australian zoo. While there, the female gave birth to one cub. When the cub was 6 months old, a terrible storm came and unleashed its fury upon the zoo grounds. They lost power and there was severe damage to all the enclosures. The hyena enclosure, in particular, was damaged to the point of having a small hole big enough for the hyena cub to escape through - but not his parents.
The cub was scared and ran off when lightning struck nearby. He managed to escape the zoo and ended up in the wild. For several days he wandered alone. Hungry and thirsty, the cub came across a fenced in facility. Unfortunately - true hyenas couldn't read so the cub did not see the warning sign on the fences as he found another hole big enough for him to go into. There were several large pools of liquid in this area and, not knowing any better, the cub went to get something to drink and essentially fell into the pool. He was unable to get out but thankfully the alarms in the facility went off. Several scientists came out and saw him struggling to stay above. Using gloves and a net they were able to free him and immediately rushed him inside to be cleaned up.
The pool was bio-hazardous waste and unfortunately it meant that the cub was in danger. The scientists (not the best sort) began running various medical tests. They found that the cub had been exposed and unfortunately would either die from it or would mutate. They threw him into a very small cage and began testing him each day. As days turned into weeks the hyena survived but he began to mutate. He began showing signs of having a human-like body. The scientists were cruel and abusive and submitted him to torture on a daily basis. When his mutation/transformation was complete, the cub was replaced with a fully grown male anthropomorphic hyena. Unfortunately the cruelty, experimentation and torture had caused him to go insane. They kept him chained (neck, arms and legs) tight to a wall. He would fight them, attack them and on several occassions severely injured the scientists. His rage became so severe they had to fully restrain him.
The experiments and torture continued and his insanity grew worse. He was in the facility for three years when he broke free and killed several of the scientists. After being tranquilized and contained, the scientists surgically implanted a mood-stabilizer chip into his brain. The chip essentially blocked the insanity and prevented him from raging out fully. The chip was deactivated with a word and then reactivated with a different word. With the chip activated, it turned the hyena from a raging monster (think of an uncontrollable raging Hulk) to something more like a rambunctious hyena playing tricks on everyone.
However, the Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate (aka SHIELD), was made aware of their bio-hazardous waste dump and that they were experimenting on creatures exposed to it. It was also leaked to them that a 'hyena monster' had killed several scientists and that it was being hidden.
Several months after the chip was implanted, Director Nick Fury led a group of SHIELD agents into the facility with the assistance of Australian police. With the exception of several low-tier members (secretaries, accounting, etc), everyone was arrested for various criminal charges. All of the experiments were confiscated and taken into custody for evaluation. However, just before one of the lab techs in charge of 'feeding' the experiments was taken off, he managed to approach Fury and inform him of Experiment 245, Project Trickster. He warned Fury of the chip and its words and what would happen if the chip was deactivated. He also gave Fury the files for the hyena and told him all other information would be on the computer servers. When asked as to why this information was given, the tech told Fury that this creature scared him. And that he honestly believed it should be put down for the safety of everyone. Had he been able to and not get caught - he would have put a bullet through his brain himself.
Fury dismissed the tech and had the files gathered. Fury himself found Experiment 245 - in a tiny secured kennel. He was chained still, barely able to move from where he sat, hunched over and crouched. He was beaten - scars all over his body. Fury was unable to subject the creature to being destroyed when it was acting so..innocent. But he did take the warning seriously and after having the hyena carefully transported back to the HUB, the hyena was placed into better, nicer hands.
They cleaned him up, put clothes on him (as the hyena was very much an anthro with all appendages). The tests and experiments were humane..nothing that would injure or hurt him. They tested his intelligence, his capability to solve problems, etc. They taught him how to talk and how to do simple basic things such as use the bathroom and eat calmly. Then they tested the chip - and sure enough, when deactivated the hyena went from being fairly tame to being a monster. They also found out that once the chip was activated once again it would put the poor hyena into a temporary coma which would last anywhere from three days to a week.
As the hyena grew to trust the humans at the HUB, Fury visited him frequently and became the hyena's 'favorite person'. The hyena had developed a bond with Fury (whether he wanted it or not) and looked up to him. However, the hyena was still a hyena...and was always getting into harmless trouble. He was also extremely energetic and was causing problems when not given enough to do.
Then, Fury had the bright idea of training him to be an Agent. He was assigned several trainers who all gave up. They weren't abusive like at the facility he came from - but they treated him like a dog. While he was once a normal hyena - the mutation had caused him to be highly intelligent and he was anything BUT dumb (despite how he acted).
Eventually Fury found a handler known as Seth Stonewall. Vex took to Seth like he took to Fury and the two became rather close. The relationship went from "Trainer/Handler/Baby-sitter" to "partners" and pretty soon Vex was an active and certified field officer/Agent of SHIELD.
Fast forward to now. Vex gets into trouble, despite his training. He does stupid things - like succesfully breaks into museums and steals all the dinosaur bones and then hides them in his room at the Hub. THen, when caught by Seth or Fury, manages to return all said bones (as well as several extras) to where they came from. He'll drag entire carcasses of animals into the helio or into the HUB and leave them in plain site for others to see. He is very much a child at heart but when it comes to his job as an Agent - he takes it very seriously. He protects his fellow agents like he would his pack.
As for the chip - it is permanent. Fury left the chip in for safety reasons. In fact, several times during serious situations dealing mainly with inhumans, the chip has been deactivated and the monster' was unleashed - only to be turned back on. Vexrile is fully aware of the 'monster inside' and has tried with the help of the scientists to try to control it. The control isn't fully there, unfortunately.
Previous Information
Vexrile is a combination of a spotted and a striped hyena. Vexrile also has no set gender as s/he is more or less genderfluid. Some days Vexrile will be male other days female. Or both.
As such, Vexrile doesn't have any significant gender organs. Even when female, Vexrile doesn't have much of a chest - s/he is always flat chested. The sexual organs all depend on how s/he is feeling at the time.
Personality wise Vexrile is more of a punk-rocker. Sometimes nick named the "Grumpy Hyena"..Vexrile typically isn't. Vex just tends to be anti-social and quiet at times.
As for appearance - s/he's got varying shades of blue as well as great and tan. (See picture). No real hair other than the bit of a tuft on his/her's head and ears. As for clothes -typically seen wearing varying types of cargo pants (or shorts), thick boots and black t-shirts or long sleeve shirts depending on the day.
Orientation wise? Well, its hard to say since Vex can be any gender s/he wants. So s/he has no preference - male, female, trans, herm, etc. All are good in his/her opinion.
Also, Vex isn't really a submissive or a dom. Somewhere in between. Vex will not take on any pets but MIGHT allow someone to collar him/her.
