The rats have had a long and storied history of hardships, amongst them being them being those who lived their lives in cooped up cages being subjected to unusual and often cruel experiments.

Tripp is from such a background.

Having been bred and raised in captivity, he spent most of his younger years as one of the highly experimented rats in the lab, eventually, along with a small group became the subjects of intelligence heightening experiments.

These are some of Tripp's first real memories, being able to recall the moment he became self aware.

The groups intellect heightened quickly, very soon coming to an accurate assessment of their situation and staging a riot and a sub sequential prison break, and Tripp escaped right along with them.

Nowadays, Tripp continues the good fight, periodically rallying together groups to help free his fellow lab rats. However, the plight of the common rat has not been lost upon him and has recently established local food drives and toy runs to help out the needy. To some he's a menace to society, to others a simple purveyor of good.

Tripp himself is an albino rat, complete with piercing red eyes. The kind that even freaked normal rats out. The rats head fuzz was cut into a mohawk, having dyed it red to match his eye color. Not very tall, but not really short for a rat, he stood about 5' 7" somewhere in the healthy and fit 150 range. Both of the rats ears are gauged, nipples pierced and he sported an uncommonly long tongue, long enough to accommodate three tongue studs. Also his left buck tooth was chipped noticeably giving him a snaggle toothed grin. (Also, while probably having a rare chance of actually showing up in a proper rp, he also has a Jacob's Ladder piercing.)

While his natural fur color was a snowy white, the rat had gotten heavily into tattooing and his entire right side was covered in tattoos, going from the side of his neck, right shoulder down to his wrist, down the right side of his chest and torso, his right hip,(as well as the left side of his back and buttock) going all the way down to his right ankle, all of his tattoos being based off of creatures from Lovecraftian mythology. The famous quote "That is not dead which can eternal lie. And with strange aeons even death may die." is tattooed sideways (having to view it at a 90 degree angle) down the lower part of his hip, right across the v muscle structure. There were little nicks and cut scars scattered all over his body and even a segment of his tail bore signs of being stitched back on at some point (he swears it's not even his, it's from a completely different rat he didn't even know) He generally sported an open, ripped sleeve button up shirt (an abandoned military jacket with the sleeves ripped off being his favorite) but is known to wear t-shirts every now and again. Likewise, he sports a pair of worn out camo shorts or some other old and beat up denim. But he always stomped around in combat boots. Always. Around his neck are a set of dog tags, his "true" name and serial number as assigned by NorthCorp Industries, a mere relic of his past life.
Another thing to note: albino rats do tend to age rather ambiguously and it is difficult to tell exactly how old he is. Even he isn't sure, as he was never informed of a birth date and had no concept of time before he became self aware. This could suggest many things as ALL rats were sentient and self aware by the time he arrived outside of NorthCorp, but for those who must know, Tripp is something of a Frankenstein experiment, having been sentient previously, then having his free will taken from him, then restored again. He has no recollection of being sentient before, so naturally it never comes up.

Despite his off putting appearance, he's really a pretty nice chap who enjoys joking with his fellow rat and engaging in some light hearted tom foolery. A little drinking contest, a few rumbles amongst friends and boys will be boys. However, he's not one to turn a blind eye to one in need and will gladly pick up the good fight wherever it is needed.

Role play Notes: Since Tripp is used heavily for rp's a little bit of information on the world that Tripp comes from is in order. The setting for most things he is in is usually a darker more apocalyptic world, taking place well after humans have gone extinct. Despite this, the deceased humans had set up several contingencies to make sure their legacy lived on, not discluding the NorthCorp Industries Complex from whence Tripp is from. The entire facility is completely automated and run by a collection of A.I.'s (sometimes referred to as The Powers That Be)and is intended to fit fit in with the rats theme of being natural tinkerers and mechanically inclined, many know how to reprogram or otherwise re-purpose old human technology. To this effect, Tripp and his crew over the years have managed to successfully convert and prevent the outer areas of the NorthCorp complex from being alerted to their presence, however the facility is huge and sprawling and at the core, it is still very much a threat, continuing the research that humans had left programmed into them however many centuries ago. The machines themselves have developed ways of advancing themselves and for any unfortunate to even encounter a mere sentry guard, would be met by a horrifically nightmarish amalgamation of flesh and machine, the machines using the plentiful resource of rats to research bio-organic engineering. Tripp has seen this first hand, and it is one of the few things that has truly terrified him.

NorthCorp itself: NorthCorp Industries is the remnants of the once prosperous Simon North who founded the company as an "Advanced weaponry and bio-metrics research facility, but their lucrative and controversial research (and research policies) landed them bank with many governments. Artificial intelligence became one of their more publicized endeavors, but other projects of theirs were just as successful and kept well hidden, like transferal of consciousness, forced evolutionary viruses and countless other things. Through the transferal of his consciousness, Simon North himself is still "alive" and continuing his operations, although a sense of ethics, morality and sanity have decayed away, leaving only an eldritch doppelganger of the once actual man.
The food, clothing and supplies are mostly taken from the sections of NorthCorp that Tripp and his crew have managed to deactivate and "blind" from the rest of the facility. Long term plans, Tripp intends to shut the entire thing down and convert it a new living environment for his fellow rat, but for now there are a few dedicated safe zones that lead to the tunnels underneath the facility and out into the Outer Lands, which is mostly barren charred wasteland, but several shanty towns and cities built within the remnants of previous cities are becoming increasingly common as the rats spread out to find food, opportunity, and the like.

The dog tags: The dog tags bearing his true name and serial number where given to him by NorthCorp for identification purposes long before Tripp lost the memories of who he was before. The name ... means nothing to him even though it is actually his real name, but it no longer holds any identifiers to the rat. The serial numbers however and unbeknownst to him, are the links to a lost series of records and projects that could spell disaster should The Powers That Be (aka Simon North's corrupted and unstable consciences) retrieve them.
