Somne is, to be blunt, the very elaborate mouthpiece for one of the Tub's artists. Also, it is completely admitted that the design hearkens openly to the works of Alessandro Barbucci, Barbara Canepa, and Marina Bychkova. Their art is awesome, I do encourage you to check out the following links:

Physical
The avatar stands at average female height, topped off by bold hair- Lilac with high and lowlights, and a sprinkling of holographic hairs. Sometimes it is in a giant afro puff and headband, others marbled dreads, and others yet just a huge mess of kinks and waves. Her face is wildly expressive, going from its normal indolent setting to broad smiles and intense, wide eyes. Those eyes are pretty, but unrealistic. Thick, long dollish lashes frame glittering gems for irises that look like faceted carnival glass and catch all available light.(like this but radially faceted. http://ny-image2.etsy.com/il_570xN.82895090.jpg) The surrounding skin, upper and lower, is splashed with a soft cloud of color, either magenta or teal. Her mouth is gorgeous; full and cushy, and yet almost, almost to wide for her face, lending her a vivid smile and powerful pout.
Rounded, somewhat pointed and forward-facing ears peek from the sides of her head, the centers inset with some sort of audio device. Wears large earrings of fun shapes or discs- generally brightly colored or holographic.
Her body is perfectly proportioned to seem both standard and yet...remarkable. Her waist is long and slender, dropping into wide hips and shapely legs. Her limbs, delicate. Skin somewhere between 'freshly washed and baby soft' and velvet. Inorganic. Immaculately gapless ball-jointing with subtle seams here and there. Sports a few markings inlaid with titanium finish or gold fuming.
Clothing: A sleeveless mini tubedress of a dark grey, metallic material that has an iridescent oil slick look to it. Tight enough to have been painted on, it looks like.
Notable: There is a keyhole at the base of the spine, and her tail is separate from her body. It is long, slender with good weight to it, and limp. It hovers 1.5 inches from her body, capped with fumed gold. Her feet are metal openwork. Her body gives off a soft mechanical whirr and ticking in close quarters. She can, and often will, spout smoke comprised of whichever herb, color or oil extract is appropriate at the time.
Personality:
The matter-of-fact mannerisms and colloquial speech coming from this construct often throw one for a loop, but it must be remembered that she's being remote controlled, so to speak. Sometimes spouts off about Universial Connectivity, Energy, Matter,and general psychobabble, all delivered in her feathery little voice. (She sounds kind of dreamy and wishy-washy, sometimes a little mad. Maybe like a mix between Princess Daphne from Dragon's Lair with a little Luna Lovegood to tone it down?)
