At a glance
Kobayen is a run-of-the-mill, average-looking human of average build, except maybe by his red eyes, hair (anime heritage, he says), and that thing he calls an arm. Usually found quite clothed (blue jacket, pants and baseball cap, white T-shirt with an 'X', white-grey sneakers), even when into the tub.
Kobayen, Combat Human
Full name Carlos Kobayen, he serves as the regular token human. Of a caucasian white skin, he could pass as just another face in the crowd (average height, undistinct build) if weren't by his hair; like the eyes, its of a brightish red, common sight maybe in a Japanese cartoon.
He's usually seen quite overdressed to a casual place like the tub, starting by the blue baseball cap that clashes quietly with his hair, sitting on his head. Second, a sturdy blue jacket, that just seems too heavy and uncomfortable to be used in day-by-day affairs, but is like a second skin for him; under that, a white T-shirt that bears an 'X' in its middle, for some reason marking / crossing approximately under his sternum. The pants, of the same blue, are more obviously padded at the knees and thickish overall than the regular stuff you'd find in shops. Added to that, he uses a brown glove of fake leather at his right hand. It's noticeable because is both apparently clumsy (besides the thumb, has only space for two fingers -- index and middle go in one, ring and pinky goes on the other), but nevertheless used at all times as is his able hand.
Is of notice that in very rare instances he is ever seen without any of those -- he even soaks in the tub dressed.
His right hand usually is wearing a glove -- and when jacketless, its easy to see why. The entire arm attached to it is artificial, in a mecha-like way; Even with the jacket, one can notice how one arm seems larger than the other. The entire piece -- arm, hand, fingers (two fingers; middle-index, ring-pinky, plus thumb) moves rather clumsily or awkwardly compared to the other arm; and yet, he's right-handed.
Kobayen is usually found either quietly immersed in his gamings or 'projects', when not trying to liven up the place trough a combination of smalltalk, sillyness, randoimity and bad jokes. His behavior is usually described as a mix of 'boyish'ness with 'overthinking things'. He owns a set of small odd quirks, like uncalled quotes, the casual strange noise nearby and a taste for continuity.
Numbers and Stats
It has been proven that he actually weights roughly 140kg, without counting another 35+kg from his jacket -- but oddly enough, he manages to 'fake' weighting not much more than a normal person (75 kg, give or take) in most day-to-day matters. Until someone tries to lift him, that is.
Kobayen is known to be able of small superstrength feats, and is resistant (if not impervious) to most normal damage. Physical strain often makes his body complain loudly, by the means of grindy, whirry, wheezy, clinky and other mechanical sounds.
Maybe its something he learned in some bad show or videogame, but he can stash and draw out virtually anything from his jacket (mostly weapons). If he carries them there or just produces them, is matter of debate. Favorites include pair of pistols, grappling hook gun, grenade launcher (altho with more harmless warheads, like the Glue Grenade), the Excalibat and the occasional explosive.
That thing called sex
Kobayen tends to get embarassed and not disclose information on these matters when asked, but his 'averageness' suggests he's as hung as any (realistic) average human, whatever measure that would be.
Gear and Possessions (as adventuring roleplay tradition rules, a section dedicated to equipments and other possessions is mandatory even if has little or no significance to the envioriment)
- His 'Gun Gallery' consists of a seemingly-infinite stockpile of weapons, guns and ammo, collected from various sources. In theory, all he has come only from games his player has played troughly before, but there's just too many of them in the opinion of most. Most of them lack the finger guard, for use with the gloved hand.
- He was seen once or twice weliding a magical / artifact baseball bat, that he just calls 'The Excalibat'.
- He has been seen producing a sort of a fiery 'bluefire rope' from inside the jacket's sleeves. They seem to have infinite amount and be of magical nature, do not burn and don't need to knot to 'tie' together. Besides that, is just regular rope.
Variants and variables
Kobayen is a known shapeshifting target -- most old-timers of the tub are aware of his tendency to be turned into things by other people. As far as he let people know, that includes sex and species change, but rarely leaving humanoid shape. (The nickname usually has 'Koba' innit if he's stil recognizeable.) In some of them, he (or she) visibly bears a robotic right arm.
Whenever forced to assume an animal or color (usually when turned into something with fur or feathers), he tends towards becoming a cat-variant, of fur hue somewhere between magenta and red.
