Captain Aric is a stoat. Mustela erminea. He's rather laid back most of the time, unless it comes to matters involving his ship and/or crew, then he's as serious and sharp as a hawk. He's usually friendly and always open minded. It takes a lot to rattle his cage and even more to make him angry, but if you manage that, beware. He fights worse than a pissed off bear.
As a career, most people would just call him a pirate, but he is most definitely not. Though he does make a living doing things similar to piracy, he's a lot more complicated than that. He does do the occasional pillaging of other vessels, but more than that he runs salvaging operations, transports cargo or people, runs as an escort for freighters and the like, and even does the occasional odd job, if money is tight and there's nothing better to do.
His outfit is fairly basic, consisting of a brown, heavy leather trench coat and matching pants, a black, long sleeved button up shirt, and black combat boots. He also wears a gas mask (usually hanging loosely around his neck), and a heavy leather belt with two holsters, one carrying a large gun similar in shape to a revolver but fires energy bolts, while the other carries a combat knife for those up-close situations.
He owns and operates (with the help of a small crew), the Polecat, a medium sized assault transport, perfect for protection of larger ships and hauling large quantities of cargo, shown below.
