Standing just a few hairs taller than your average fox, Crit's not too bad looking if you like red and white. The fur on top of his head is unruly and generally just idly swept somewhere so it's not in his eyes. While he's no wolf or badger, he's not as lean and skinny as your average vulpes vulpes, either. Maybe he works out? Maybe there's some dog blood in his family? Maybe he's just naturally bulky? Maybe the same is true of whatever's hiding under that sheath? The world may never know!
Crit can normally be found in a pair of cargo pants (often with really neat stuff in the pockets), a t-shirt, and a loose fitting, unbuttoned-and-untucked, shirt over it. The t-shirts vary from his slate gray one adorned with the 13th Legion's Eagle (from HBO's Rome), to an assortment of even geekier shirts, from various miniature war games, RPGs, and video games. Sometimes, if you look just right, there's a little bulge on his right hip like there's something there...
Half the time he opens his yap, it's funny. The other half, it's sarcastic. Every single time, though, there's just a hint of a lazy Southern drawl to his words, adding a sardonic tone to everything he says. Do yourself -- and the rest of the world -- a favor, and don't take Crit too darned seriously. If he's poking fun, it's meant in good humor. If he's rubbing you the wrong way, genuinely, with some of his teasing one-liners, just let him know and he'll clam right up and probably apologize.
