Nowadays, humanoid beasts are created by large biogenetics companies to fulfill the orders of large corporations, the military, or the merely insanely rich. They live among Humans and each other, carrying out jobs of their assigned positions, whether it be life companion or steel worker.
Now of course, there are different prices. You have your cats, your dogs, your frogs and all sorts of hybrids. But then you have people requesting mixes from extinct stock.
Charles was very expensive to develop, and develop is the operative word. To create him, it took at least 498 activated eggs to get the desired genotype, all over the course of 5 years. Then, he was raised in a facility until he was well past maturity, as the silent buyer requested.
Charles Rex is his given name, but to the engineering company, he is merely TRHOM-79/13/8-10499. He is nearly seven feet tall, and hasn't been weighed since employment (and he won't often say who he works for). He hails from the gritty byways of London and carries a brusque accent- though he doesn't speak much. However, he is quite a gentleman, and always appears in a black tailored suit, or velvet and satin smoking jacket with a red ascot with a pin. Speaking of which, he also often carries a bent dublin pipe of briar or meerschaum, a cig in a holder, or a cigar- but he'll put it out if you ask nicely, and he's in the mood. Charle's is a little old school, and though he's beastly, he normally is comfortable keeping his hands to himself, and chatting a person up, first. He expects the same from others, and is averse to forwardness or clingyness.

One of his tiny eyes is dull yellow with a bright yellow iris and slitted pupil lined in red. The other is cybernetic- a metal orb with an iris embossed onto the surface, and the pupil is a short green line. There is a brass band screwed across the bridge of his nose, and small pince-nez are normally attached this way, or sometimes a monocle with transparent readout. He has rather poor eyesight, after all.
Through tireless genetics, many of his exaggerated T-rex features have been worked out or lessened. He has two main fingers, a smaller pinky (with a ring) and a thumb, all with thick, curved and somewhat short claws. He is excessively brawny, and so the way his arms are still a bit too short is hard to notice. (his hands hit the top of his large thighs, instead of the normal level of mid-thigh)Being both a reptile and a test tube baby, so to speak, he has neither nipples or a navel.
The top of his skull is deep maroon, and the rest of his skin is a dark slate-blue grey. From the back of his neck to his short tail, there are fat, spaced out stripes of faded teal. His claws and many teeth are ivory. (He only has three teeth that stick out a bit on either side, not the four longer ones like in the left bottom pic)
