-Captain Rayna Langri has served in the S.A.F for over ten years. She graduated at the top of her class in the Academy and showed a combat capability not seen generations. Advisers and instructors alike speak highly of her, though all have made note of her anger, and how can occasionally get the better of her judgement; however, she is one of the best Fleet officers to this date. Rayna is the first, and only, recipient of the Medal of Colonial Valor.

Captain Rayna established herself and rose to this rank faster than any previous graduate, and within three years she had served in daring missions against the sworn enemies of S.A.F, the Shade. Each year causalities in both ships and crew increased, until only six vessels remained. It was decided a last ditch trap was to be made for their space-born enemy.

S.A.F directed command of the star ship "Allegiance", the pride of the fleet, to Captain Rayna during a critical operation. There she managed to hold off a Shade assault force single-handed with hit and run tactics. The flagship and crew sustained serious injury required weeks of care. Yet, the young Captain herself never succumbed to injury or damage to that vessel. Often, the Allegiance was taken from space dock without authorization to continue fighting, even with a skeleton crew. Eventually the war came to an end after Captain Rayna lured the Shade fleet into final pursuit, by point-jumping into the Maw of Night, the largest black hole in the known universe.
To this date no trace of Captain Rayna or the Shade fleet has been found. A memorial stands in Mercury Park for her, and the courageous few at her side, for ending the war with the ultimate sacrifice.

Rayna comes from Arcu, the Crown Jewel of the Iridian Galaxy, known to your world as NGC-2770. Rayna's species are the Arcurians; canine's the appear similar to your Fox species; however, their fur color ranges greater, among a total difference in organ make up and intellect. Rayna is a "vixen", being slender but received her father's wits and mother's looks. She is shapely in the hips and thighs, which moves over a thin flat sides and belly to her, commonly noted ample bust. Her rear end is round but toned; Rayna keeps herself in top shape, to be ready for anything at anytime. Her fur coat is heavy orange, white underbelly and jaw. Her tail is bushy and a prize among Arcurian's, but she keeps it bound to prevent it interfering in duties. Her eyes are a vivid and odd purple. An adaptation of the people of Arcu, is they have a natural rapid-regeneration ability. This was discovered quickly in the Early Wars. Arcurian's can regenerate small injuries in minutes, and larger scale wounds, like a loss of a hand, in weeks to months time. This trait has often been the sole reason for survival or even victory in some key battles.
Rayna likes to be called "Ray" by close associates. Often found wearing her uniform which might be similar to a navy officer of humans here on Earth; it is a blue button up in the middle over shirt, with khaki like pants. her right shoulder side is highly decorated. Her black hair is kept short, just above her shoulders, with the right side being longer than the other to hide a scar that even her rapid healing couldn't remove. When off duty, Rayna wears multi-pocketed 'crew' shorts, and a sleeveless white T-shirt with a large "A" on the back.
