Adamant is odd, by societal standards. She comes from a forest dwelling tribe of her own kind, where she had been the shaman's daughter. Born without wings, it was thought she would never be able to survive.
However, at a young age she learned to traverse the trees as well as a normal gryphon moves about the sky, earning herself the title of TreeHopper.
As the daughter of the Shaman, she has some magic, and knows a bit of potion crafting.
